Biography

Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Justin Kim received a bachelor’s degree from Yale and a master’s in fine arts from American University in Washington, D.C.

He has exhibited across the Northeast including Denise Bibro, Brenda Taylor, The Elizabeth Foundation, and Bowery Gallery in New York City, as well as at Smith College and Montserrat College of Art. His work is included in public and private collections in New York, Europe and across the United States. Recent residencies include The Virginia Center for Creative Arts, The Jentel Foundation and The Studios at Mass MoCA. He is currently based at The Elizabeth Foundation in New York.

Kim has taught at Yale, Dartmouth, Smith College, The University of Massachusetts and Deep Springs College in California.
