Lyman by the Numbers: Life Forms & The Houses spotlights plants and physical spaces in the plant house. This exhibit has two parts. In Physiology House, selected plants from the permanent Lyman collection are grouped together to illustrate the many life forms that plants take in the places around the world where they naturally occur. Each life form is accompanied by descriptive text and numerical facts, beginning with how many species and plant families are represented in Lyman.
Additionally, in each greenhouse space within Lyman there are interpretive signs naming the house and describing its history and current purpose. These signs include information about physical dimensions of the greenhouses and the plant communities growing in them.
